Ministries and Missions
Our heart at Lake Point Baptist Church is Discipleship! We believe that Discipleship is not just another church program, but the essence of what church is.
We believe that Discipleship is a biblical mandate to all believers, and that all believers should be discipled so:
- They themselves can have a victorious Christian life that glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ.
- They themselves can make a disciple out of someone else that will make a disciple out of someone else, that will make a disciple out of someone else….I think you get the picture.
We find one on one and small group discipleship to be most effective.
And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. 2 Tim 2:15, Matt 28:18-20
Women’s, Men’s, Teens, Couples and Small Groups are all different groups that you will see having Bible Studies through our Lake Point Baptist Church. The very basis of our beliefs our founded upon God’s Word, and we want to take that seriously. Studying the Bible together will change people’s lives!
Jesus said “…Suffer the little children to come unto me…” He loves the little ones, and here at Lake Point Baptist Church we love them too!
We believe that discipling the young is just as important as discipling adults! So through biblical teaching, fun games, exciting songs, creative crafts and activities we desire to nurture your child into a deep relationship with Jesus Christ that will last forever.
It is important to us at Lake Point Baptist Church that you feel comfortable entrusting your children into our care. All adults ministering to children in any lpbc ministry have undergone annual criminal background checks.
Early Learner’s
(Infant-Kindergarten)
We offer in our nursery a place where parents can leave their littlest ones during our Sunday morning Worship Service. Even babies can learn about Jesus, by listening and moving to songs about him, and by hearing the Bible verses and stories be read. Our early learners will experience a more structured time in the nursery with song-time, prayer, a Bible lesson, craft and activity to reinforce the teaching from the Bible story.

Lake Point Kid’s Church is for 1st through 4th grade, and takes place during the morning service. Our teachers love teaching the Bible to the kids in exciting and effective ways! Our goal is to see them know Christ and to grow in their relationship to Him as they learn God’s Word and worship Him.
We believe that God has given our church the job of reaching people in our area for Him!
You will see us using different ways to reach out to our community throughout the year.
Windsor Lane Health Care Nursing Facility: We minister to the residents of this Nursing Home every 1st and 3rd Sunday @2:30 pm with a worship service led by Ned Barnes.
If God gives us the idea, we will do it for His Glory! Matt 5:16, Matt 28:18-20
We want to have a part in planting other churches and supporting missionaries from the very beginning of our church, but we don’t want to only write a check and give them a smile and a hand shake and send them off.
We want to really have a part in what a missionary does!
It is our plan to use tools such as Skype to talk to our missionaries while on their field. We want to meet needs where the Lord allows us to by putting together care packages and helping them with special projects.
It is also our desire to take missions trips to help our missionaries and actually have our church body take part in short term mission trips that allow us the challenge and the blessing of reaching the uttermost part of the earth! Acts 1:8
We currently support The Woodfins to San Francisco California, the Dawsons to Australia, the Ruwersma’s to Wales, and the Wells Family to Ghana, Africa!
